Join in creative activities to explore your ideas of how one person can make a difference. Have fun with photography and collaborate to capture your creative responses. Be part of the Evolving in conversation project.
Facilitated by young people from Brighton & Hove with photographer Georgia Metaxas, Hannah Coxeter and David Allistone from Exploring Senses and Vicky Tremain from Brighton and Hove Libraries Services.
12.30pm Author Catherine Hall talks about The Repercussions – her most ambitious novel to date, a sweeping narrative dealing with the psychological and emotional reality of war, as well as race, guilt, love and loss.
1.30-3.30pm Creative Writing Workshop for young people and adults exploring how we respond to images with words, with writers from New Writing South
2pm A Conversation with the Young People and Artists involved in Evolving in Conversation
3.30pm Chloe Dewe Mathews Award winning British photographer Chloe Dewe Mathews discusses her BPB14 commission for Evolving in Conversation, and other projects including Shot at Dawn, a new body of work that focuses on the sites at which British, French and Belgian troops were executed for cowardice and desertion between 1914 and 1918.
